This security and Privacy Statement applies to Michael Beamish Nominees Pty Ltd trading as Frankston Toyota which also includes our web site under the domain name "www.frankstontoyota.com.au."

This security and Privacy Statement may also apply to services offered by Frankston Toyota on Web Sites hosted by third parties. Frankston Toyota understands and appreciates that you, as either a customer or Web Site visitor, are concerned about your privacy and about the confidentiality and security of information we may gain about you. Frankston Toyota is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Statement explains how your personal information will be treated as you interact with Frankston Toyota and our Web Site. Frankston Toyota will review this Privacy Statement periodically and reserves the right, at its discretion to modify or remove portions of this Statement at any time. You should review this page periodically so that you are updated on any changes.

The National Privacy Principles (NPPs) of which Frankston Toyota agrees to abide by are as follows:

   a. Frankston Toyota will only collect personal information if it is necessary for its business activities; and the information will be collected lawfully and fairly.
   b. Frankston Toyota will not disclose personal information about an individual for any other purposes that the purpose for which it is collected unless the individual would reasonably expect Frankston Toyota to use or disclose the information for another purpose.
   c. Frankston Toyota will take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information collected is accurate, complete and up to date.
   d. Frankston Toyota will take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is protected from misuse, loss or unauthorised access or disclosure.
   e. Frankston Toyota will make its policies public regarding the management of personal information.
   f. As a customer, you will be given access to your personal information that Frankston Toyota holds about you. If the information we have is not accurate, up to date or complete, Frankston Toyota will take the necessary steps to correct such information. Access may be denied if the request is vexatious, frivolous, unlawful, or would impact unreasonably on another person's privacy.
   g. Frankston Toyota will not use an "identifier" assigned by a Commonwealth agency (such as a tax file number) to identify persons about whom information is collected.
   h. Whenever it is practicable, an individual will have the option of not identifying himself/herself when entering into a transaction with Frankston Toyota. For example, we will allow our customers to make a cash purchase without providing their name or contact details unless we are required by law to obtain this information.
   i. Personal information may only be transferred to a foreign country that has privacy laws similar to or with higher standards that Australia's laws.
   j. Frankston Toyota will not collect sensitive information such as in individuals health, racial or ethnic origin, political or religious beliefs, sexual practices or criminal record without the consent of an individual unless the information is required by law.

Frankston Toyota may collect information such as; name, address, phone numbers, email address, details pertaining to motor vehicles including servicing and purchases. Additional information, such as drivers licence details and date of birth may also be collected for use by Frankston Toyota, finance providers and for use in aspects of motor vehicle warranties and registration. Once this information is collected it could be used for activities such as customer mail outs and service reminder letters. If you do not wish to be on our mailing list, please advise us and we will have your name removed.

If you believe that the privacy of your personal information has been compromised, you are entitled to complain. We aim to respond to your complaint within 2 working days. In the event that this is not possible, you will be notified and kept informed.
